Bavarian Festival Art Sale Guideline

ELIGIBILITY: Gaston County Art Guild MEMBERS ONLY sale. Entry fee is $25.00 per person.

GUIDELINES: Complete the entry form on the Gaston County Art Guild website under Shows-Bavarian Festival Art Sale 2026 by December 4th.  Remember to complete the form and pay the fee on that page.

TAKE-IN DATE: Friday, December 11th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Belmont City Hall, 115 North Main Street, Belmont, NC 28012. All large 2-D work must have an entry card (downloadable with entry form) completed and attached. A completed inventory sheet must accompany all work. The inventory sheet is available on the website and will be used for payment purposes.

The Belmont Bavarian Festival is on Saturday, December 12th from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Artwork and small gift items will be available for purchase by the public attending the event. All members are encouraged to attend, and participants may be asked to volunteer. This event will be highly publicized! PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION TO PROMOTE YOUR SALES.  An invitation-only preview sale will be held from 10-11.

PICK UP DATE:  Sunday December 13th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Belmont City Hall, 115 N. Main St.

SPECIFICATIONS: Large 2-D and 3-D artwork is limited to 3 pieces. 2-D includes painting, drawing, photography, and printmaking and must be wired for hanging. No sawtooth hangers will be accepted. 3-D includes stained glass, jewelry, sculpture, and ceramics. The price limit on large items is $500.

IN ADDITION to 3 larger and higher priced entries, please consider submitting up to 35 small, handmade, fine art items. These items should be limited to note cards, holiday ornaments and decorations, pottery, jewelry, small artwork pieces no larger than 12x12 inches, journals, and keepsake boxes. The minimum sale price will be $20.00, so package your items accordingly (Ex: 8 cards for $20). Please bring your own display holders for small items. Table space is limited, so having your work grouped will help with organization and visibility of items for sale.

Boxes of unframed or framed artwork can be sold.  Bring a basket or box to contain your work.

All packaged items and large artwork pieces must be included on inventory sheet. Participants will complete sales tags for items and attach to all work during take-in. Inventory sheets are available with the entry form and should be completed before presentation to City Hall. For multiples of the same item, list them separately on consecutive lines.  For example, 4 notecards- $20 5 different times if you have 5 sets.  Ditto marks may be used. 

SALES: Gaston County Art Guild receives a 20% commission on all sales.

LIABILITY: All reasonable care will be given, but neither the Guild nor the City of Belmont will assume responsibility for loss or damage.

ITEMS NOT FOLLOWING GUIDELINES ABOVE WILL BE REJECTED.  IF WE HAVE NO WAY TO DISPLAY YOUR ITEMS, THEY MAY ALSO BE REJECTED.
