Gaston County Art Guild
The Gaston County Art Guild offers the community high quality education, networking opportunities, and coordinated events for the advancement of the visual arts. This is accomplished through weekly activities, monthly speakers, juried and judged shows, workshops, outreach, and working with other nonprofits. This non-profit organization is supported by membership dues, private and corporate donations.

Plein Air Show
Gaston County Art Guild partners with Bliss Gallery for a showcase of plein air pieces focused on Gaston County. All pieces will be for sale in the Gallery. Information on entry will be provided through the plein air group.
Opening Reception: Thursday, April 9, 6-8 pm. The public is invited to view the show and meet the artists. The Gallery wi11 be open 12-3 pm Wednesday through Saturday for viewing the show at other times.

Gaston County Art Guild and Daniel Stowe Conservancy partner for a juried show at the Conservancy. All accepted pieces will be for sale in the Gallery space. You may enter using the link below for the Entry form. The prospectus and payment links are also on this page.
Opening Reception is Friday, April 10 from 5:00 to 7:00. Juror Wendy Hickey will speak on the content of the show and her background and then present the awards. Awards total $1500. After the awards, she will answer questions. A cash bar and tours of the Conservancy will be available. Come share your artwork with us at this beautiful facility.
Garibaldi Fest Plein Air Competition 2026
Gaston County Art Guild, Downtown Belmont Development Association, and Belmont Tourism Authority present the 5th Annual Plein Air Competition and Wet Paint Sale. You may register using the link to the left for the Entry Form. The prospectus and payment links are also on this page.
Painters may sign in the morning of April 24 or 25. Paintings will be turned in for judging at 1:00 on April 25. Awards will be at presented at 2:00 followed by a Wet Paint Sale until 5:30.
