Covenant Village Landmarks Art Showcase

Invitation to all Gaston County Art Guild members: You are invited to enter this art show at Covenant Village ( 1351 Robinwood Rd.) in Gastonia. This exhibition will focus on Gaston County landmarks.

Covenant Village residents commissioned local artist and Guild member Heidi Nisbett to create an image for a 550-piece puzzle featuring several iconic landmarks all over the county. The original artwork for the puzzle will be unveiled the evening of November 3rd, and puzzle sales will be open to the public. You have been invited to help celebrate this event by showcasing your own art of Gaston County landmarks, which will be hung and displayed on the walls of the new gallery at the Village.

SHOW GUIDELINES:

The show is for Gaston County Art Guild members. Each artist may submit 2 pieces which can be for sale. Work must be original art by the artist. If sold, no commissions will be taken.

Specifications: Art will be hung and must be wired on the back. Work on paper must be protected. All media (oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, collage, photography) are accepted as long as they depict images of Gaston County only. Location must be provided.

Size: 5 by 7 inches to 48 by 60 inches.

Show dates: November 3 through December 31.

Take-in Thursday, Oct. 29th and Friday, Oct. 30th from 1-4 pm at Covenant Village.

When entering the Village, please take an immediate left and go under the Health Center Tunnel. Mr. Kevin Stewart will meet you under the tunnel and retrieve your art for the exhibition.

The show will be hung through Christmas, and pickup will be in early January.

Please provide the following information: Name, medium, size, price, location of image, phone number. In addition, include a brief BIO – 2-3 sentences – and include what you love about Gaston County.
